The Equucel pellets are easily distributed across the stable floor by fork, shovel, broom and hand to the required depth. 

We recommend that Equucel is laid to a 10cm depth which, for a 3.6m x 3.6m stable, would use approximately 200kg of product. Once laid, the horse or pony will gradually break down the pellets to a soft flaky consistency by their natural movement within the stable. 

When changing the bedding, the product will have darkened and taken on a fluffier appearance where an animal has urinated so it’s easy for the person mucking out to see exactly what needs to be removed. 

Over time this leads to significantly less bedding waste and lasts three/ four times longer than conventional alternatives.
